Megadeth bassist David Ellefson sat down with Frank Godla of Metal Injection to discuss all things metal and more in a new video interview from the 2018 NAMM Show in Anaheim, Cali.

The two begin their conversation by focusing on Ellefson’s new business venture, Ellefson Coffee Co., a metal themed coffee roaster that made their NAMM Show debut this year. Godla then steers the topic to an upcoming LA thrash documentary that Ellefson was given the opportunity to narrate. Finally, the bassist focuses on his good friend, Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, and how the two have created a perfectly balanced partnership throughout their 30- plus year relationship.

“Dave taught me how to grow up in L.A.,” Ellefson says. “He’s been a big brother to me as much as anything. That’s what makes our friendship and our bond so strong. We’re lifelong buddies, me and Dave.”
