In a new “Will it Chug?” video, Ola Englund set his sights on a Jackson JS Series RR Minion JS1X in Satin Black.

You might first ask “What is a chug?”

Well, England quips that, “Discovered by the Germans in 1892, it’s something all of us strive for us and we are all out there to hunt the chug.”

A very inexpensive and simple guitar, the RR Minion is a short-scale guitar featuring Jackson high-output humbucking pickups and a string-through-body hardtail bridge with block saddles.

Speculating that he fully expects the instrument to chug, Englund also chuckles over “how cute it is,” and explains that he mainly purchased the guitar to “just have fun.”

“This is a fun little tool,” summed up England. “It could be a practice  guitar that you could bring on tour with you, or if you have a kid you want to get into guitar playing — metal guitar playing — because this is as metal as it gets for being a mini guitar.”

And yes, it chugged.
