You know you’ve made your mark on American culture when the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History takes note.

In 2016, Anthrax will celebrate its 35th anniversary as a band with the Feb. 26 release of new album For All Kings.

The Smithsonian explores Anthrax’s influence in a recent video profile of the band, “How New York of the ’80s Helped Influence Anthrax to Create East Coast Thrash,” as part of its Places of Invention exhibit’s interactive online map.

Watch the clip below which features old-school footage mixed with current interviews with Anthrax, and check out the Smithsonian’s interactive online map here.
