Trey Xavier of Gear Gods caught up with Marty Friedman during the Axes & Anchors cruise to talk about the look and attitude of his live band, and the Jackson guitar he’s been playing while on tour.
“Jackson is one of my favorite companies of all time,” said Friedman. “I’m right in the middle of a stage where they are making prototypes for me and we are trying things out, and the only way to really try something out is to go on the road with it and go in the studio with it. They’ve been so cooperative and they’ve made a lot of custom guitars for me to try out on the road and the most recent one is getting really close to being something I want to put my name on and put it out there. I don’t want to give away too much information but it’s real close. But that company is just top-list, top-notch, great people, great company.”
