Anthrax’s Scott Ian took the stage at the Fillmore in San Francisco this week to participate in a star-studded cast alongside Metallica.
Ian’s appearance was on the second night of a week-long celebration of the 30th anniversary of Metallica’s life as a band.
Ian told stories of hanging out with late Metallica bassist Cliff Burton alongside guitarist Kurt Hammett and also played a few songs with the guys.
Metallica blazed through a 20-track set culled from their entire discography, including a previously unreleased track from the Death Magnetic sessions called “Just A Bullet Away.”
