On Saturday, Life Rolls On hosted the “They Will Skate Again Shoe City Open”at Venice Skate park. A revolutionary skating program that is the first of its kind, They Will Skate Again empowers paraplegics and quadriplegics with the opportunity to skateboard adaptively.
KROQ radio provided the music, while pro skater Christian Hasoi gave an exciting demonstration to kick off the event.
The winner of the competition, pro chair skater Aaron Fotheringham, took home a $5,000 check, a Jackson JS32R and a Fender Mustang amp. Fotheringham made history by being the first to successfully land a wheelchair back-flip.
