Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian gave Fret12 a personal tour of his live rig, showing off the beloved signature Jackson guitars, amps and effects pedals that contribute to his crushing live performances.
The rundown features a pair of his Jackson King V axes, which offers fans a preview of his upcoming signature models. He also shares how “The Beast,” as he affectionately refers to one of his King V’s, replaced his recording guitar of 30 years when it came to working on 2016’s For All Kings.
“This is used actually on most of the new record,” he said. “Most of the rhythm tracks on the record were played on this guitar.”
In addition to the King V mainstays, Ian shows off his custom Soloist axes that feature bigger bodies and exclusive paint jobs.
Anthrax is currently on tour supporting their February release, For All Kings. Dates here.
