Jackson signature artist and menacing Slipknot guitarist Mick Thomson met up with Thomann Music during the 2018 NAMM Show in Anaheim, Cali., in late-January to talk about his all-new Jackson Mick Thomson USA and Pro Signature Soloist™ guitars.
The intimidating musician shows off all the fine details he’s added to the classic Soloist™ shape, including a pair of his Seymour Duncan® signature Blackouts pickups for that black hole-heavy de-tuned guitar sound, a Jackson MTB HT6 hardtail bridge that mixes the best of both a Floyd Rose and standard hardtail design, and a 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard.
Thomson was blown away when he got the final sample of his signature Jackson.
“The construction, the quality of the build, I’m just so incredibly impressed with Jackson,” said Thomson. “They really, really, really get their s#!@ done right.”
