Jackson Donates Custom Guitar to Friends of Freedom for Patriot’s Day Celebration

Event commemorates victims and first responders of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks

Jackson guitars has designed and donated a custom-painted Jackson Dinky® DK2 guitar to be auctioned off during Patriot’s Day Celebration on Sept. 10 at Paseo Highlands Park in Phoenix.

Patriot’s Day Celebration, hosted by chartered foundation Friends of Freedom, pays tribute to victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks and American military forces at war. Auction proceeds will benefit dependents and spouses of active duty U.S. military personnel, with special emphasis given to those who lost a loved one in service to America. They will also benefit families of Arizona National Guardsmen serving on active duty and families of Arizona police and firemen.

The one-off guitar’s custom paint job features the Friends of Freedom red, white and blue dog tag logo and “9*11 2011 Patriot Day Celebration, 10 Years Later” emblazoned on its Ivory alder body. Additional features include a bolt-on maple neck, compound-radius rosewood fingerboard, Seymour Duncan humbucking bridge pickup and single-coil middle and neck pickups, Jackson Low Profile double-locking tremolo and black hardware.
