Sit down with Jackson product manager Peter Wichers as he demos the gorgeous new Pro Series Dinky™ DK3 Okoume model. After giving a quick rundown of the various features of the this new metal beast, Wichers flips through the five-way blade switch to show off each pickup position and the instrument’s versatile tones.
Built with an HSS pickup configuration, the Pro Series Dinky DK3 has a Seymour Duncan® JB humbucking bridge pickup that outputs revved up warm and aggressive harmonics, balanced with the perfect mix of sustain and distortion, and is the ideal complement to the Seymour Duncan Strat® SSL-6 single-coil middle and neck pickups, which add sparkly tones and glassy cleans.
Other top-of-the-line features include an okoume body, one-piece bolt-on maple neck (hand-rubbed urethane gel back finish) with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement rods, a 12”-16” compound radius ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets and offset pearloid dot inlays, a recessed Floyd Rose® double-locking tremolo bridge system and a heel-mounted truss rod wheel that allows for quick and convenient neck relief adjustments.
The DK3 Okoume is available in a Natural satin finish with all-black hardware and a matching Jackson pointed 6-in-line headstock with black binding.
