Def Leppard Scoops Up Album of the Year at Classic Rock Roll Awards Show

Def Leppard scooped up Album of the Year honors for their eponymous 2015 effort at the recent star-studded Classic Rock Awards show, held at Ryogoku Kokugikan Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

Hosted by Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine, the evening included performances from Phil Collen, Jeff Beck, Joe Perry, Rudolf Schenker, Johnny Depp, Richie Sambora and Orianthi, Tesla, Cheap Trick, and a house band made up of Rob and Dean DeLeo from Stone Temple Pilots, Korn drummer Ray Luzier and Tommy Hendriksen of Hollywood Vampires.

Other big winners included Beck, who was presented with The Icon award by Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, while Scorpions man Rudolf Schenker presented Richie Sambora with the Classic Songwriter prize.
