De La Tierra Premieres ‘Puro’ Video

Latin American metal supergroup De La Tierra— featuring Andreas Kisser (Sepultura), lead singer and guitarist Andres Gimenez (A.N.I.M.A.L.), bassist Sr. Flavio (Los Fabulosos Cadillacs) and drummer Alex Gonzalez (Maná)—have added a video treatment for “Puro.”

The band originally debuted the lead single in November 2016 — just prior to the release of sophomore album II. At that time, Gimenez explained the meaning of the song to Billboard.

“This song talks about how life can take us in different directions, good or bad,” he said.  “Our soul is unbreakable. It’s up to us to understand if it’s time to be born, to grow, or to die. The payoff is always there. Nothing is easy, but nothing is impossible as long as you keep the pure power inside your heart.”

The video concept captures that ideal and resilient spirit as the group is held captive and tortured. The will to remain strong throughout their tribulation eventually leads to freedom.
