Dave Davidson on his Pro Series Signature Warriors

By Jackson Guitars

When extreme metal meets high-performance design, the result is something like the Pro Series Signature Dave Davidson Warrior™ WR7 guitars crafted in collaboration with Revocation frontman Dave Davidson. These new models blend aggressive styling, modern hardware, and refined craftsmanship into a pair of instruments that reflect Davidson’s technical prowess and bold aesthetic.

The Pro Series W7s were born from fan demand. After the release of his Custom Shop models, Davidson saw an overwhelming response from players who admired the style and specs of those guitars but needed a more accessible option. The Pro Series was developed as the answer—a line that keeps the core of what made the Custom Shop versions special while dialing in just the right mix of performance and playability at a more attainable price.

To distinguish them from their Custom Shop counterparts, Davidson and the Jackson team made a few key changes. The Ferrari Yellow Warrior stands out with a reverse headstock, leaning into its loud, flashy vibe. Meanwhile, the Ferrari Red model takes a more traditional approach with a standard headstock and adds an ebony fretboard for a touch of sophistication. Both colors were chosen to turn heads on stage. Davidson describes them as “loud and in-your-face,” a visual extension of his high-energy performances.

Hardware-wise, the guitars are built for the rigors of modern metal. Each features a Floyd Rose tremolo system, allowing for dive bombs and pitch acrobatics without sacrificing tuning stability. The pickups are a key element as well: Demario’s Occult Classic models, hand-selected by Davidson, provide the punch, clarity, and aggression required for fast, technical playing. A straightforward control layout—single volume and tone knobs paired with a pickup selector—keeps things streamlined without limiting tonal flexibility.

The necks on both models are made from one-piece maple and use an extended 26.5-inch scale length. That extra length isn’t just a spec sheet detail—it adds tuning stability and better string tension, both of which are crucial for low tunings and precise riffing. Davidson worked closely with Jackson to make sure the neck profiles felt natural in the hand, especially for players who rely on speed and accuracy.

For Davidson, the Warrior shape has always struck a perfect balance between visual edge and ergonomic function. “It’s a very unique-looking guitar,” he explains. “It looks badass, but it’s also sleek at the same time.” His connection to the Jackson brand runs deep. As a kid idolizing the players who wielded these guitars, becoming part of the Jackson family now is more than just a partnership—it’s a full-circle moment of artistic fulfillment.

These guitars aren’t just for show. Davidson is taking both the Ferrari Yellow and Ferrari Red models on tour this summer, putting them to the test on stages across the globe. They’ll also feature prominently in his upcoming music releases, including Revocation’s latest single, “Confines of Infinity.” He sees them not just as tools, but as extensions of his musical identity—guitars that represent where he is now and where he’s headed.

In the end, the Pro Series W7s are more than signature guitars. They’re a statement. Whether you’re slamming through brutal riffs or navigating complex technical passages, they deliver the tone, feel, and presence needed to elevate your playing. Davidson’s fingerprints are all over every detail, and that personal investment shines through. These aren’t just guitars for fans—they’re serious machines for serious players.
