In late October, Crown the Empire released a deluxe edition of 2014 album The Resistance: Rise of the Runaways that featured a few new and re-imagined tracks to the delight of their fans around the world.
Shortly before that, the band dropped a video for one of those new songs, an aggressive number called “Prisoners of War.”
Now, there is another video for a new track, and this time, it’s “Cross Our Bones.”
“For us, the new songs on the deluxe edition of ‘The Resistance’ are about closure. So much has changed over the last few years, and up until this point, I think we’ve been searching for who we were as artists,” vocalist Andy Leo told Alternative Press earlier this year. “‘Cross Our Bones,’ ‘Prisoners of War’ and ‘Machines (re-invented)’ are just the surface level of what we feel we’ve uncovered creatively as songwriters and as individuals. As we bring The Resistance to an end, we hope these songs excite you for what is to come.”
