Big Four Bassists at N.Y. Clinic

By Jeff Owens

February 28, 2011

Two of Jackson’s favorite bass shredders, Megedeth signature artist David Ellefson and fellow Big Four bassist Frank Bello of Anthrax, took part in what was surely a most slammin’ pair of bass amp clinics on Feb. 25 in a New York Sam Ash location and on Feb. 26 at Daddy’s Junky Music in Boston.

Take a look at the Examiner.com video interview below, in which Ellefson is seen wielding his Jackson signature bass model with his customary mastery. Dig how he has the whole room singing along on “Holy wars … The Punishment Due” from seminal Megadeth 1990 thrash-terpiece Rust in Peace.

And by all means do keep in mind that Messrs. Ellefson and Bello and their respective bands will once again join with Metallica and Slayer—this time on U.S. soil—for a single historic North American concert appearance of the Big Four, Saturday, April 23, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif.
