David Ellefson Gets Animated in New Megadeth Video

Bassist David Ellefson and the rest of his Megadeth bandmates get an animated treatment in the new video for “The Threat is Real,” which has already racked up more than half a million YouTube views since its mid-December launch.

The clip takes a page straight out of a video game as the band is being help captive in prison cell no. 13. Watch after the jump as a rescue team comes to bust out the band in bloody fashion.

“The Threat is Real” appears on new album Dystopia, dropping Jan. 22. Megadeth kicks off a supporting tour Feb. 20 in Dallas. Head to the Megadeth website for ticketing info and dates.
