In its November issue, Guitar World bestowed its “Gold Award” to the Jackson Pro Series Soloist SL2Q MAH.
While it “may be a high-tech guitar, all of the tech goes into details like feel and playability rather than complicated switching systems, sophisticated electronics or other features that get in the way when you want to plug in and play,” notes reviewer Chris Gill.
Gill offers a complete rundown on specs, but claims that “the Soloist’s true devil is in its details” and explains how the neck is one of the fastest and most comfortable he’s ever played.
As far as tone?
He found it to be “very lively, responsive and aggressive, thanks to its resonant tone-woods and high-output humbuckers, which are mounted directly to the body.”
