Thirty years ago, guitar god Randy Rhoads tragically passed away in an airplane crash.
As one way to honor Rhoads’ music, legacy and life, his sister, Kathy Rhoads D’Argenzio and D’Argenzio Winery created a limited-edition 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon with Rhoads featured on the label.
Now, D’Argenzio has invited fans to remember her brother on the weekend before the March 19 anniversary of Rhoads’ death.
Leading up to the date, D’Argenzio offered a message to JacksonGuitars.com.
“It’s hard to believe that 30 years have passed since I lost my brother Randy Rhoads,” she wrote.
“As many of you know, I have a wine tasting room in Burbank. We have a special tribute wine we created to honor Randy. I would like to extend an offer to all fans, friends and admirers to visit our wine room on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday prior to March 19th to receive a complimentary tasting of the Randy Rhoads wine. I look forward to meeting all of you and reflecting the life and memories of Randy.
“God bless you all, Kathy Rhoads D’Argenzio”
D’Argenzio recently sat down with Rock N Roll Industries Magazine to talk about growing up with Randy in the interviews below:
