It was a big night for Avenged Sevenfold. Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance took the best guitarist award; M. Shadows took the best vocalist award, and the group took the album of the year award for Nightmare. Best live band went to Rammstein, and best new band went to Black Veil Brides.
